Compro Oro is the most exotic Belgian jazz band of the millennium, and for those who didn’t realise that yet, the five musicians have named their latest record Suburban Exotica for good measure. This record takes the Latin American influences of their debut album Transatlantic and the ethnic, psychedelic sounds of their equally excellent EP Bombarda, and mixes it all with African and Middle Eastern sounds and instruments. Add to that a guest contribution from Joachim Cooder (son of) and production work of Dijf Sanders and … Did we mention that Compro Oro is the most exotic Belgian jazz band of the millennium?
